I'm currently a homeschooling mom to two boys. When I'm not busy with school work, I spend my free time focused on wrongful convictions. I became aware of them after following a local trial as it was streamed online - the Brad Cooper case in Raleigh, NC. This was two years ago and I can honestly say that I had no idea that this type of thing was happening. I'm talking about blatant police, prosecutor and judicial misconduct - railroading a person right before our eyes with lies and withholding evidence and character assassination and anything else they could possibly think of. I created a website, a blog, a Facebook support page and a means to collect donations for Brad's defense. Since then I also discovered several other cases that are clearly wrongful convictions and I'm spending some time on those too. My background is in Chemistry. I graduated from Kent State with a B.S. degree in Chemistry and then worked for several years as a product development chemist in the polymer and coatings field. I eventually moved into technical service support for customers and then sales and then regional sales manager where I managed chemical distributors for the southeast region. I hope to continue researching cases and writing about them and doing what I can to raise public awareness of the sad cases of injustice in this country.
